Magister Ltd. was an independent consultancy founded in 1997 to provide a range of services to the scientific, technical and legal communities.
From the beginning, our clients included small information brokers through to multi-national information searching teams and international data hosts, helping them to make good business decisions, based on an informed understanding of their intellectual property environment.
The primary activities of the company were in the field of patents documentation and data content. A range of consultancy projects and training programmes - often delivered in collaboration with established industry training organisations - enabled clients to locate and use relevant patent documents as a source of vital commercial, technical and legal data.
Effective from April 2025, following the retirement of the managing director and principal consultant, this website is being maintained for the purposes of delivering selected archival presentations and workshop slides to the patent information community. There is also limited opportunity to purchase parts of the company research library.
